Franklin Sir Pugs-A-Lot PawWord Story
‘Hey folks! Having a fawn-colored blast in Spencerville, poppin’ Dentastix, dodging fruits n’ vacuums, and sharing wisdom with pals. Mountain breaks, snow capers, and even blue hues make my tail double curl! Miss y’all. Love, Pumpkin.’
Welcome back dear reader, to our fantastical Spencerville – the almost utopia where those four-legged darlings, our pets, escape to find reprieve after departing from our lives, paws skittering towards joy, knowing, with dogged determination and feline certainty that one day, we will meet them again. Altitudes of happiness framed by Western Husky Hill, Dalmatian Desert’s sandy expanses, and the curvaceous bends of Southern Golden Retriever River keep them company. And, no, don’t get me started on the gastronomical excellence at Pup-Tastic Pizza, The Cat’s Meow Sushi and Pup-Cakes. Shops that mirror those of old London town: The Pampered Pooch Salon, Best in Show Photography, and The Doggy Depot keeping our pets in top shape and style.
One cannot overlook the ineffable Franklin Sir Pugs-A-Lot, sporting his legs—much like the famed stilts of Sevilla—with a twist on the usual pug stature, a fawn-colored fellow with more gray on his face than a cloud. Topped off by his slightly shortened ear flap and a double curled tail that is the pug equivalent to Nietzschean übermensch. His aesthetic appeal, of course, speaks nothing of his nature. Playful, loyal, and affectionate, he’s everything one needs in a friend and nothing less. Granted he could be stubborn, but you tend to forget this flaw when he gives you that look. The one that’s equated to “my dear human, it’s not in my interest to engage in the aforementioned task at this time.”
Our Franklin is less than fond of the family Rosaceae. Apples, peaches, apricots—of them all, he cares least for bananas. Fruits to him are as aliens to us, and he views them with comparable suspicion. Protein nourishment was more his cup of tea. Dentastix, and Burger King nuggets – sure, the ones meant for humans, all melting his heart as it did to his master. He is progressive in his tastes, after all, and would indulge in Pro Plan kibble as the situation demanded; one must be adaptable, even in Spencerville.
Ah, Franklin and his love for the earthly pleasures! Vacations to the mountains, adventures in the snow, the color blue even! Such simple pleasures, but oh so delightful. Car rides send his spirits soaring, a game of tug-a-war oozing joy from every fiber of his being. So brightly he shines in his happy moments, one might forget he has his dislikes as well. Loud noises give him the shivers, the mere rumble of a vacuum enough to send him to despair. Even the water doesn’t strike his fancy, which is saying something. You’d think anything that isn’t a fruit would pass his very rigid preferences.
In the heart of Spencerville, our dear Franklin Sir Pugs-A-Lot holds court, gracing his fellow residents with wisdom and nuggets of joy. Whether being a steadfast companion to Marty, sharing nuggets with Al, standing guard by KingPB, or elevating the bonds of ‘brofurhood’, Franklin is exactly what ties all the loose ends. He’s a true hero of Spencerville not charging at dragons or toppling kingdoms, but with a heart that sings for his friends, his family, and for a Chicken-Flavored Dentastix, because really, what’s not to love about those?
The End.
