Wally Bear PawWord Story
“Morning lap around icy Pawsburg, took a hilarious ‘Tail Chase’ detour at the Stadium. Doggy Bagel Deli stop – uninvited guest Dave! Swung by Pooch Playhouse for chewy booty. Evening dip at Boxer Beach to wind down. Home now, knees up on my ‘claimed’ couch, chewing on a femur and swapping tales with Em. Another Bulldog Day well spent. 😉 – Wally B.”
‘Twas a fine mornin’, the sun shinin’ bright as I, Wally Bear, the artistically wrinkled English Bulldog, bid adieu to my human family. I stretched my stubby legs, stepped out of the coziness of our brown couch that I secretly claimed, and ventured into the mystic world called Pawsburg.
My first stop, Siberian Summit, a wintry playground for the more adventurous of the K-9 kin. An escape from the warm hug of underfloor heating. But, ah! The thrill, the barks, the snowball chases! It’s quite the start to a day, pardon me if it nudges my dormant bear genes a smidge. Sliding down the icy hill, my chubby form tumbling reminiscent of those old wine barrels, rounded out with a pleasurable thud at the base of the icy structure.
Next, a quick jog, or as quick as my pudgy legs could manage, to Shih Tzu Stadium. Took in a riveting game of ‘Chase the Tail.’ Now ain’t that a sight! Watching my comrades run in circles, their tails elusively teasing them. A splendid comedy, for who truly can conquer their own tail!
Ah! But then came my true motivation for visitin’ Pawsburg – The Doggy Bagel Deli! Picture this – a Bulldog, yours truly, sittin’ proud and poised at a deli counter, ordered a chicken and rice bagel, no oranges. Just as I was about to take that first delectable bite, who prances in but Dave, that Dachshund. Him and his lengthy self had a notorious way of twisting my tail. But I kept my cool, after all, we were in a public eatery. One must maintain decorum, right?
Feeling quite full and satisfied, I decided to saunter over to The Pooch Playhouse, checked out the new line of indestructible chew toys. A robust femur bone…a lovely addition to my personal tricycle of bones.
Exiting the store, bag in mouth, I head for the Brown Boxer Beach to wash away the day’s grime. Ain’t nothin’ like a cool evening dip, reminds of those crime novels, the ones about a worn down detective deep in thought, washer away the sins of his past. Now ain’t that a lovely twist to my tale o’ life?
Ending my day, I journeyed back home, back to my beloved couch. I, Wally Bear, recounted my day’s adventure to my dear Emily, who would, invariably, gift me a knowing smile. A simple tale of a Bulldog’s day in Pawsburg, yet each day held a new tale to spin, seeped in humor, packaged with love, and seasoned with a dash of good-humored stubbornness.
So, until tomorrow, when another day of Pawsburg adventures beckons…
The End.
