Sammy PawWord Story
Hey Mom, got tricked into custody by the Vet for a dreaded bath just as Peanut Butter Bagels ran out! But don’t worry, pulled a fast one on him and saved the day (and myself from bath-time)! Missing playtime with Roxy though. More tales to tell later! -SammyDoodleBug
As I stood on the highest tower of Choco Chihuahua Castle, the wind lashing at my lemon-spotted coat, I thought how very different this day turned out to be. For one, I’d just discovered the Doggy Bagel Deli had run out of peanut butter. “Blimey! Not the peanut butter!” I’d barked, my canine tongue trying to keep up with my English accent.
Today, however, was not about peanut butter. Loath as I am to say this, there were more pressing matters than my addiction for that creamy, nutty goodness. Spencerville needed me. And I, Sammy – the spirited, cream-coated beagle Jack Russell mix, the fearless guardian of our pet paradise – was their only hope.
But as I feasted my eyes on the sun setting over Western Labradoodle Lake, I wondered about Roxy. How she must be missing our vicious games of tug-of-war, the riotous rumpus and our hearty roughhousing. I let out a long, melancholic whimper. Duty may have called, but my heart longed to be by Roxy’s side.
I was shaken out of my reminiscing by a familiar growl. Turning my head, I saw him slinking towards me, that sinewy, nefarious villain of our town, Vet. “Aha, Sammy, we meet again!” he sneered.
His terrifying tools gleamed ominously and I found myself thinking about the tranquil surroundings of Poodle Pond. I wished for one moment I could be there, playing fetch with my loyal tennis ball. But, nutters! I had a job to do.
“Sod off, Vet!” I warned, mustering my deepest, menacing bark. Vet merely laughed. “Prepare for solitary, Sammy,” he cackled, advancing towards me. Bath time – my worst nightmare was about to come true.
“So, it’s bath time, huh?” I growled, backing up slowly. “Ever wondered how it would feel to take a dunk in Western Labradoodle Lake?”
Before he could respond, I lunged at him. Bath time could wait. Right now, I had a Spencerville to save, and a story to tell when I finally return to Roxy. I had a world of beagles looking up to me. I, Sammy, was their hero.
So, my dear friends, here’s to our daring tales and doggy deeds that make our lives in Spencerville worth living. Fetch you later!
The End.
