As dawn kissed the tops of the trees surrounding Collie Canyon and the fresh aroma of sizzling bacon flowed from Paws On The Grill, I found myself at the heart of Spencerville, eager to meet the day. Sammy they call me, as my loyal subjects know, a spirited mix of tenacity and charm packaged in a cream-colored coat, adorned with spots reminiscent of my favorite treat – yes, you’ve guessed it, peanut butter.

Roxy and I would begin our day, as was customary, with a visit to Fetch! Toys and Treats. Roxy, my sister by heart and partner-in-crime, would often snub her nose at my pleading eyes for just one more tennis ball for our games. But I’m a royal, and royals have few restraints.

Latest addition to the throne… an indestructible Kong chew toy with only a few thumbed corners, I am only a Beagle after all. A hearty breakfast followed, and can we talk schmear? At The Fetching Deli, the peanut butter spread on crackers was sublime, one that would make any pet tail wag in rapturous delight.

Spencerville, you see, is the peanut butter to my jelly, the bacon to my breakfast. A place where I can enjoy the crunchiness of life free from the confinements of a leash.
